A strong argument advocating for AI as a thought partner that can enhance rather than diminish our critical thinking capabilities. I agree, albeit cautiously, due to yet another lingering conditioning I have which is: feeling that using AI to analyse multiple perspectives simultaneously or challenge a complex idea, i.e., to do the heavy lifting of critical thinking, is in some ways “cheating”. I think what I’m describing is something that needs to be overcome though, because it’s clear that once we can move past our anthropocentric bias and incorporate AI, the possibilities of higher intelligence and experience are immense.
